I have a vacancy for a child aged between 6 months & preschool with a flexible start date. Between the hours of 730am & 530pm, either full or term time only.

I have completed all the courses required to meet the requirements of registration by CEYS. On top of these, I attend various courses during the year (outside of working hours) to keep up to date with childcare practices & information. I have also completed Makaton Level 1 & Introduction into Forest School training. I am currently working towards Hygge in the Early Years Accreditation. All certificates are available to view.

I live with my Husband Mark who is a Computer Engineer. He is at home when I start work & the little ones in my care enjoy waving him off in the morning, one little boy loves giving him his packed lunch. We live just a few minutes’ walk from Samares School, Samares Manor & La Mare Beach. I offer childcare in a warm, friendly and secure home environment which is smoke & pet free. I love baking & I try to bake regularly with the children, often sending delicious cakes home. Cooking is also a passion of mine & I love to follow recipes from “What Mummy Makes” which helps make snack & lunch an enjoyable time.

I tailor our home based and outing activities according to your child’s interests and developmental needs. I will keep in touch with you during the day using WhatsApp, which enables me to share your child’s progress & fun throughout the day, this also includes lots of photos. I use Tapestry to log observations which Parents can also add to – it‘s always nice to hear from Families over weekends/holidays, especially when little ones reach milestones.

We enjoy outings to various places including the Zoo, Beach, Library, Samares Manor, Parks, Heritage Sites, Reg’s Garden, Railway walk, St Peter’s valley, Le Hocq Meadow, as well as attending playgroups & meeting up with Childminder friends which gives the children in our care an opportunity to socialise and make friends.

At home we enjoy baking, water play, loose parts play, playing in the garden, stories, crafts & lots of other fun activities.

I have built great friendships with Parents over the years & it is always nice when they pop by to say hello. The children all make fantastic friendships & I love to arrange for past families to meet us for an outing when possible.

I have references from past & present Parents which are available for you to read. Parents are also happy to answer any questions you may have.

Please feel free to contact me to discuss your childcare requirements either by telephone or email.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Helen is registered to care for 6 children.
