I have 18 years experience as a Registered childminder and am fully insured. I hold a current Paediatric First Aid Certificate (including Anaphylaxis training) and attend training courses relating to child care regularly to further develop and update my knowledge and skills, these include Child Protection, Language for Life and Fire Safety, etc.

I am fully insured to carry the children I care for in my car.

I have two grown up children of my own and we are all non-smokers.

I live within walking distance of the Elephant Park, railway walk and playing fields and make good use of these facilities. We also enjoy fun on the beaches, attending toddler groups and meeting up with friends/other child carers with young children.

I have a large selection of quality toys including books, puzzles, role play, construction, small world and imaginary resources. The children enjoy many opportunities to experiment and experience art and craft activities, messy and sensory play and dance and music making, encouraging all areas of child development.

While encouraging the above activities and skills that will motivate and stimulate children socially and educationally, I understand that it is also very important to give children space, time and choices, and to respect their opinions and ideas, making time to listen and discuss subjects with them.
