My background is in Nursing and Midwifery and after completing a CACHE NVQ 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development I worked within a school environment as a Teaching Assistant.
I have cared for children in my own home since 2001, both part-time and now full-time and am passionate about the importance of giving children a great foundation to learning in their pre-school years – full of fun, adventure and trying new things in safe environments to enable them to grow in confidence.
I strongly believe in the Forest Schools ethos that children learn in the informal outdoor environment and we spend time each day outside- in our self contained garden, on our allotment, as well as local woods, beaches and parks – in all weathers with wellies and waterproofs if needed! We do a lot of crafts, baking and gardening and I completely a ‘Daily Diary’ so that parents can keep up-to-date with our daily activities and the children regularly take home things they have made.
I work in partnership with the families to maintain, whenever possible, their home routines and dietary requirements.
I am married with two children, a dog (who has been around young children since ten weeks old) and guinea pigs..
I am First Aid Trained and have completed all the required courses including Child Protection and Forest Schools Workshop and strongly believe in maintaining Continuous Professional Development.
I am flexible in the care I provide, and the hours I work, both Term-time only and All Year. I can drop off/pick up from Nurseries if required.
If you require any further information then please contact me.
Ali is registered to care for 6 children.
